The Kildare Route Project has a separate section on this site, due to the sheer scale of the waste of taxpayers money involved. However, if what I have heard is true, this one takes the biscuit and therefore deserves a page on its own.
I have heard, by earwigging on a conversation, albeit from a man who is one of the residents living beside this development at Hazelhatch and the son inlaw of the last stationmaster at Hazelhatch, that, in the present designs for the road up to this bridge, that there is a gap of 1 metre between the approach ramps and the bridge.
If this is the case, can I ask does this mean that a new railway order will be required or will it be like the M3 which is being built in a different location to the one marked on the plans approved by Tricky Dicky Roche, in which case, they will carry on regardless.
I also wonder, given that the new Comptroller and Auditor General (John Buckley) is a local (I understand he lives in North Kildare), will he show an interest in investigating this further waste of taxpayers money? I will declare a potential conflict of interest here. John Buckley's niece is my sister in law.
